We Are Nihilists. We Believe In Nothing.

Does the world need another blog? Certainly not. If anything it could probably use a lot less. And yet there are only so many ways to fight existential angst; the glacial march of emptiness that can seize us in the moments we look up from our phone and become ever so faintly aware of the feverish electric haze that has consumed us for how long? Hours? Weeks? Years?

So I started a blog! Yay! It's my own personal attempt to beat back the looming sense of meaninglessness that creeps into all of our lives not when we're not looking (as is the tendency of most creeping things) but when we are.

Also because people tell me i need to do a better job of marketing myself (although I doubt this is what they meant,) and because I walk dogs during the day and a man can only listen to so many podcasts before his own neural pathways start constructing billboards for squarespace and meundies.com.

So what can you expect from this blog? First of all, absolutely no useful information. But you shouldn't be turning to blogs for useful information in the first place. If you need to know how to make a casserole, call your mother. She can give you more precise information than the Internet can. Plus she misses you, and you're too skinny, you need to eat.

What you can expect is bi-weekly updates with posts that, as I am writing them, I will think are so insightful and self-aware that I should probably quit stand-up to become an author. However 5 minutes after I've posted them I will find them smug, pretentious and painfully embarrassing.

So if you're looking for creative ways to maximize your SEO, or strategies to monetize your online presence, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for just another way to waste time on the Internet, well brother, you're in the right place.
